 Marketing is the most important process in your business. The marketing is the seeds that builds the client base that grow into your business. No marketing, you have no business.

Step #3 Decide On The Geographical Area You Plan to Grow Your Business Within.

In the service industry time is money, the more you travel the higher your costs and the less time you have to service clients

Depending on the service you are supplying and how frequent you clients return will have major impact on the service area. For example "Home Cleaning" needs a single suburb of 2000 homes at the most.  
Home Cleaning clients return weekly to fortnightly. Once you have about 25 to 30 weekly regulars you will be flat out. The demand is high as long as your service is professional and friendly. 

Decide on the area then target all your marketing tools toward that area.

Step #4 Build Your Internet Business Profile in Your Target Market.

Who are your future clients? You have to evaluate what clients suit your business. Example if you are a Home Cleaner. Do you want move out work or weekly return clients? If it is move out work then you have to target market "Property Managers" in real estate offices or If you want regular clients, then working mums living in your geographical area is your market.


What Are The "Internet Basics"for a Homes Services business?

1) Business Website. It can be very simple, but it has to be professional. The site should be consistent with your branding. The site should have all the key words relating to your service and the geographical area. 

2) Business Facebook Page. Actively work this page. You are your brand in social media. You personally have to be present on the page. The page most reflect your business, but have your personality.  No personal stuff, No negative.
Engage your clients. Ask clients to rate your business. Ask clients to give a video referee for your business. Keep the video to 15 to 20 seconds. Build your credibility in your area and services.

3) Professional Brochure.  Old school still works. Everyone still has a mailbox. Junk mail works and now days it gives a more local feel to your marketing. Invest in a professionally brochure. Full colour, menu layout,  professionally printed and plenty of them.

Step#5 Keep Educating Yourself . 

Invest in your own education, it pays huge dividends


Invest in your own education. Be open to learning ,everything you need to learn about marketing and sales is out there. Just invest 15 minutes a day into your own education and it with pay huge dividends.
