The 6 Golden Rules to Make Your Business Work for You.

Being a Successful Small Business Owner is Very Rewarding

Feeling chained to your business? Would you love to have your business work for you when your not there?
Becoming a successful small business owner is very rewarding, either as a franchisee or an independent operator. It takes true passion, commitment and motivation that turns the hopeful small business person into a competent success.
Running a business that feeds your family is a true triumph. But if you are not careful, with that success sometimes the business can become a burden to bear.

That same passion that drives, can make it difficult for a lot of small business operators to delegate roles in his or her business to others.

No one is going to love your business the way you love your business!
Good staff are hard to find!
Then they don't have your commitment to the customers!
All these things have an element of truth to them.
Passion that drives you ,can make it difficult to delegate

We all need to learn to trust others to keep delivering the promise when we're NOT there!
The danger is that you can become a slave to the business.
Too scared to stop working, just in case the wheels fall off.
If you are successful over any long period of time, you are repeating a successful action over and over.
Success in business is really repetitively delivering the same high quality service or product to meet the customers expectations.

It can be selling coffee, cleaning houses, washing dogs or business coaching.
Turning up and delivering the promise becomes the expectation.
How do you get others to deliver "Your Promise" in your absence?

The answers is in the systems!
1. Decide why you are running your business. Get a clear goal or outcome.
2. Stop, take the time to document the produces that are working in your business.
3. Evaluate the systems that are working and aren't working, then reinvent them if needed!.
4. Then develop a system to help your people stick to the systems.
5. Don't forget to develop a system for evolving the systems.
6. Then most importantly, expect your people on your small business team, to follow your systems.

Your systems can become the assets of  your business.
They will carry your business when you are not there.
They will empower your people, giving them the confidence that they understand what decision to make in your absence.

We all need time away from our business.
No matter how much we love it.
How do you guarantee that your business works for you?
